Up Alaska 2007 » Arrival Slideshow

One surprising thing to learn about Alaska, in Earthquake Park in Anchorage, is that there is so darn much fungus growing there. It is damp, there is darkness and lots of vegetation so they thrive there. Also, there is a lot of water surge in Cook inlet, which makes for extremely high and low tides. Plus, I made a friend there.
